why do i leave the windows in my car rolled down?
| September 8th, 2006I’ve wondered for quite some time now why in the world I leave my car windows down. That might seem like an odd question, so let me explain.
On my rides home from work during warm weather, I always have the windows down. I don’t like to use A/C because my peppy little Civic only makes about 90HP, and using A/C would seriously rob the engine of that much needed power. So, I use what I call 4-65 air: four windows down at “65″ mph. ; )
When I arrive at my current place of residence, a la The Vale, I often times neglect to roll my windows back up. In the back of my mind, I know that they’re down and that they should get rolled up before I go to bed. But sometimes I forget. And you know what happens almost every time I forget? It rains. Yep. Almost always.
Except for last night. And I’m sooo glad it didn’t because it already had happened once earlier this week.
So why do I do this? It’s a pretty dumb thing to do, isn’t it? And I think I’m a decently smart guy. Well, I think I found a possible explanation. Guy Kawasaki has in interesting post on his blog entitled “Why Smart People Do Dumb Things” (Like Not Backup Their Hard Disk) that might help me understand why I do dumb things.
If you’ve ever wondered why you do dumb things, take a look at what Guy has to say. It might help you too.
