I first heard Scott Matthews last year and immediately was hooked. His haunting vocals, thoughtful lyrics, and musical style is reminiscent of Jeff Buckley, but it’s obvious he has his own style. Scott’s debut album “Passing Stranger” is well worth the purchase if you can find it here in the States. One of my favorite songs from the album is “Elusive,” of which Scott recently released a music video.

Huh. That’s odd, because that’s how I was able to get the album. They must have taken it off for some reason.

I read a recent article that the album will be hitting the US this fall for an official release. That might be why they pulled it from iTunes.

Sadly I never heard of (or fell in love with) Jeff Buckley until after his death. This guy is great, I’ll be checking him out. He even reminds me a little of Jeff, just looking at him.
