somehow, while in the middle of what i think was an enjoyable dream, i hear myself say “what the heck is that noise? oh…it’s my phone.”
half awake, i stumble out of bed and make my way over to my dresser where my phone, charging in it’s cradle, is moving around like a shivering, naked man in antarctica. i grab it, look at the caller id and see it’s “mom” on the other end. i make my way over to my bed and slip back under my warm covers.
“hello”
“hey teej…did i wake you?”
“yeah, you did. why are you calling so early? what time is it?”
“it’s almost 8…time to get up for work, don’t you think?”
“no…it’s friday…my day to sleep in…i don’t have to go to work today.”
“today’s thursday tj, not friday”
“oh crap, i thought it was friday”
Hahaha. You have been out of the house for how long? Mommy still has to wake you up.
i should have clarified that my mom had something to talk to me about and wasn’t calling to wake me up!

I haven’t noticed “mega-traffic” from the 25Peeps site, considering I’m basically the only fully clothed person on there! But I have noticed a good number of click-throughs. Thanks for the comment!
He he, yeah, that’s why I clicked on you. I’m not really into all that other stuff… but the whole concept seemed cool to me. I think it’s really cool that you’re still on there. But you’re just as handsome as you were the last time I saw you.
It is cool I’m still on there…we’ll see how long it lasts. I doubt much more than a couple of weeks.

That is classic. That is one of my worst nightmares. Hey Back in college my boss would call around 10 or 11 to wake me up because I was late for work. Let me say also that was 10 or 11 at night. Or how about waking up with your son looking at you saying something like dad the bus just went by. Then thinking how much trouble you would be in when he spills the beans to his mom. Can I say Panic!!!!!!!!!
I won’t make mom jokes but have you ever gotten up on your day off and gotten ready for work? Then to discover that it’s Saturday.
You have to be really tired for that one.
